I have begun intensive investigation of the Vail area in regards to specific GIS and GPS data available. My goal is to model as close to a 1:1 of the actual Vail topography, roadways, infrastructure and more.

Within a week things are looking to a project in Vail Colorado – an site respective of a greater trend of the tension between property value, worker housing, and the need for flexible architectural methods that can serve to invert traditional solutions for the resort housing type.

Fabricating the digital

Since I began my studies in Architecture I have been interested in the computational elements in their full spectrum – ranging from modeling and visualization to scripting and emergence. The thing that tied together all of my interest in the world of the GUI was what you could actually get out of that interface, what you could fabricate.
I will be in Los Angeles for a Grasshooper Workshop on June 12th. Forward Design Office is hosting the event. I am looking forward to pushing my grasshopper knowledge. Check here for more information on Grasshopper
